Frank Clark began with ComEd in 1965, working in the mailroom. After returning from military duty in Vietnam he continued working there. Before his appointment as president of ComEd in 2001 he served as Executive Vice President, responsible for various functions, including: customer service operations; marketing and sales; regulatory, governmental, and community affairs; information technology; communications; human resources; labor relations; and distribution services.

In 2002 Fortune magazine honored Clark as one of the Most Powerful Black Executives in America. Clark holds degrees in law and business administration, both from Chicago’s DePaul University.

Mr. Clark has served on the Econ Illinois Governing Board since 2002. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for DePaul University, Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum, University of Chicago Hospitals and Health System, and Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Metropolitan Family Services, Governors State University Foundation, Illinois Manufacturers Association, The Illinois Coalition, Big Shoulders Fund, and United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Economic Club of Chicago, and the Executives’ Club of Chicago, and he serves on the Board of Directors for Waste Management, Inc. and ShoreBank Corporation.

Econ Illinois is honored to have Frank Clark serve on the Governing Board for nine years and give his time and talents to the organization.
