National Economics Challenge Results
Congratulations to the 2011 National Economics Challenge winners. The contest was held on May 22nd in New York City. Winners were:
- Phillips Academy -- Andover, MA
- Mounds View Senior High School -- Arden Hills, MN

Illinois Results
Over 134 Illinois students from 11 schools tested during the online competition from
March 7 - 17. State winners for 2011 are:
- First Place: Hinsdale South HS, Darien. Jeff Waterman, teacher
- Second Place: Grayslake North HS, Grayslake. Tracey Landry, teacher
The
winning student team and their teacher participated in the National
Semi-finals on Wednesday, April 27. Students on the state finalist team
took a written, proctored test in their own school, competing with first
place teams throughout the country.
Six finalist teams across the U.S. qualified to compete in New York City on May 21-22.

The 2011 Illinois Economics Challenge was online only, due to lack of funding for an onsite State Finals competition. Watch for the return of Economics Challenge State Finals in the future!
