Donor of the Month – DRW Trading Group

DRW Trading GroupIn 2008, through an invitation from an Econ Illinois Board member, members of DRW Trading Group attended the first American Dream dinner event.  It was at this event that they heard testimonies from a current Board member, a graduating high school student and three fifth graders – all of whom benefited from Econ Illinois programs.

Since that first dinner, DRW Trading Group has become a major player in supporting the economic and personal finance education programs of Econ Illinois.  For the past two years, DRW has been an Honorary Event Chair sponsor for the American Dream dinner event, and has helped in planning the event through membership on the event committee.  This year, additional funds were raised through an event raffle, led by DRW staff member Amy Kinney.

DRW has also added one of their own to the Econ Illinois Governing Board.  Board member Kevin Kroeger has made significant connections for the Council with other businesses and individuals who are interested in supporting our mission.

Econ Illinois is most grateful to Don Wilson Jr. and DRW for the impact they are having on the future of Illinois students.

DRW Background:

Applying their experience, DRW has organically developed viable and diverse trading strategies that have positive expected value relative to their associated risks.

An integral aspect of DRW's business is an approach to risk management.  DRW devotes themselves to understanding and measuring the risks associated with their trading strategies. Their risk management methodology treats each of their trading operations and their respective subtleties individually. Like DRW’s trading, their processes for managing risk are constantly improving and evolving, and are a critical component of their business.
