Illinois Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy
4th Annual Financial Literacy Conference
The 4thAnnual Financial Literacy Conference for K-12 Teachers will be held Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The conference will focus on financial literacy education, curriculum integration, methodology, best practices and much more!
Full time in-service K-12 teachers are eligible for sub pay reimbursement, renewable registration fees, and complementary meals; many sessions and exhibits will be offering free curriculum to teacher-attendees! ICEE will be a primary presenter among the many organizations presenting sessions that feature the newest and best curriculum materials available to teachers.

Jump$tart Coalition is a proud affiliate of the (National)
Jump$tart Coalition
for Personal Financial Literacy based in Washington,
DC. This national organization was first convened in 1995 and consists
of over 200 organizations committed to improving the financial
literacy of America's youth. 
Established in 2005, the Illinois Jump$tart Coalition seeks to improve financial literacy by facilitating financial education programs for K-12 students and young adults. The coalition’s purpose is to foster financial literacy throughout the state by providing avenues and opportunities for education, information, and materials dissemination that focus on and promote financial literacy.
The Illinois Jump$tart Coalition sponsors an annual fall Teacher’s Financial Literacy Conference, and an annual spring membership meeting for current members and those interested in joining the organization. Annual dues for Illinois Jump$tart are $100 for organizations and $40 for individuals.
