Economics is For Life - Elementary and High School

Start with the module that best fits your schedule and meets the needs of the course you teach. All modules include material for elementary through high school students. The base site for the modules will be the classrooms at UIC, with potential field trips into the Loop area of Chicago. Take one module or all four, or any combination. You will receive 15 CPDU's per individual workshop. As an option, enroll for up to 4 hours of graduate credit (1 hour of graduate credit per module).
Each module will include three hours on the Virtual Economics 3.0 CD Rom resource. Teachers are eligible to receive one free copy of VE following workshop attendance.
- Economics is Elementary - Basic Microeconomics Concepts (Econ 442A). July14-16, 2008.
- Drawing the Big Picture - Basic Macroeconomics Concepts (Econ 442B). July 16-18, 2008.
- Business Cycles, Crises and Policies (Econ 442C). July 21-23, 2008.
- Health Economics (Econ 442D). July 23-25, 2008.
