Super Bowl Investing
The 2012 Super Bowl Investing project is now online in the Projects section of the Teacher Support Center. Super Bowl Investing asks students to evaluate Super Bowl commercials as indicators of their respective companies' investment potential.
This year’s Super Bowl is particularly interesting because advertising slots were sold out by Thanksgiving 2011, and it will be the first time it has been streamed live to computers and mobile devices. Advertising slots for this year’s game cost between three and four million dollars.
Because students will be required to watch potentially suggestive commercials, this project has been classified as a High School project.
To access Super Bowl Investing, log in to the SMG's Teacher Support Center with your SMG advisor ID and password. Click on the Projects link in the In the Classroom section. Select "Overarching Projects" as the Unit, "High School" as the Grade, and click "Next."
