Teacher Conference on Financial Literacy
Brought to you by the University of Illinois Chicago Center for Economic Education
Now more than ever, it's critical that young adults have a fundamental understanding of personal finance. The July 7, 2011 Teacher Conference on Financial Literacy linked the latest in financial literacy curriculum to developments in financial markets with industry speakers. Guest speakers discussed real-world financial issues and what consumers need to know to create long-run financial security.
Sessions were offered on Virtual Economics Version 4.0. Training on the newly-revised resource demonstrated how Version 4 can serve as a tool for K-12 teachers to enhance the social studies, math, language arts and science curricula.
